Algorithmic Trading in the Dubai Market

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and the broader Middle Eastern crypto hubs operate under unique volatility structures. Institutional quantitative traders require immense processing power to test hypotheses, but standard brokerage APIs often come with strict rate limits, delayed data, or IP restrictions.

Why Offline Backtesting?

Running backtests on external servers (like TradingView or MetaTrader cloud) exposes your proprietary trading alpha. By utilizing an offline, math-only client-side simulator, your logic never leaves your machine. You simply dump your historical CSV price action into the engine, set your parameters, and let the browser's JavaScript engine crunch the Monte Carlo arrays instantly.

Managing Risk: Take Profit & Stop Loss

A strategy without risk management is merely gambling. The simulator utilizes rigid percentage-based exits:

  • Take Profit (TP): Automatically closes a long position when the underlying asset appreciates by a set percentage. Secures gains before mean reversion occurs.
  • Stop Loss (SL): The most critical component of survival. Cuts the position if the asset drops below the threshold, preventing catastrophic account wipeouts (protecting against Max Drawdown).

Deterministic Math

Unlike visual charting tools that rely on subjective trendlines, this simulator evaluates performance using pure algebraic thresholds. If Price < Entry * (1 - SL), the trade is dead.

Monte Carlo Simulations

Testing against historical data can lead to curve-fitting. By selecting the "Monte Carlo" trigger, the system enters trades randomly, stress-testing whether your TP/SL ratios hold up in chaotic environments.
